As part of Fall 2017’s ARTS 310.012: Under the Covers and Between the Sheets class come see a display of their current assignment, a class book. Each individual page artistically represents a student’s own evolution of self through mixed-media. The display is located in the Blowers Gallery, above the New Books Shelves.
The class proposes that students will explore books as sculptural art by using mixed-media to create personalized texts, alter existing texts, and consider/express their own artistic identity through their art. What is a book? What is text? What is a narrative?
