The Making of the Modern World  The Sunday Times Digital Archive

We are pleased to announce the availability of two new online resources: Gale’s The Making of the Modern World and The Sunday Times Digital Archive.

The Making of the Modern World is comprised of the Goldsmiths’-Kress Library of Economic Literature, covering the period from 1450-1914 and including more than 65,000 titles from the period 1460-1914 and 466 pre-1906 serials. This resource focuses on economics interpreted in the widest sense, including political science, history, sociology, and special collections on banking, finance, transportation and manufacturing.

The Sunday Times Digital Archive provides searchable access to more than 200 years of backfile issues of The Times newspaper of London, England, from its origin in 1785 through 2006, including full page facsimile images digitized from microfilm. The entire newspaper is captured, with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos divided into categories to facilitate searching.
