Up for a cost effective movie night with friends? We have projectors, projector screens, DVDs, usb optical drives, and wireless speakers for you to check out from the Ramsey Library Front Desk –all for free for UNCA students, staff, and faculty! You just need to make popcorn.
Planning on an epic weekend of adventurous hiking, biking, or hammock-ing lazily with a book in the mountains? We check out the books, yes, but also have a large selection of cameras (DSLRs, camcorders, a gimbal camera, and a Go Pro), tripods, and wireless speakers, so you can share the freshest fine vistas with your followers, friends, and family!
Did your professor assign a multi-modal video, audio, or graphic project to do, and this is all a bit external to your own technological comfort zone? First, we have all the tech equipment you need to record media (videos, audio, and pictures) at our front desk. Second, we also have kind tech savvy folks in the Media Design Lab downstairs along with all the software you need to help you edit your projects beautifully.
Fancy some non-academic skill development, or exploring some new hobbies? We also have a keyboard kit, music mixing (DJ Style) boards, Wacom drawing tablets, an electronics toolkit, an arduino programming kit, Oculus Quests, and even a sewing machine to check out!

Need to make a high-quality video or audio recording for a school project that would also look great in your portfolio? We have a full-fledged video production studio with soundproof audio recording booths available for UNCA academic projects, with help from our amazing staff! *This is the only service point in the library that is exclusively for use on academic projects.
Need to create a 5 foot wide print of a favorite vacation, pet, or friend group photo, the school poster presentation you spent a semester on, or of a 3D object? Come get crafty with us in the CrAFT Studio downstairs. We have large format printing, 3D printing, and much much more available to you extremely affordably.
