Every year since 2000, the Philosophy Department at the University of North Carolina, Asheville has hosted the Southern Appalachian Undergraduate Philosophy Conference on the campus of UNCA. The purpose of the symposium is to give aspiring undergraduate students the opportunity to present new and original work. A call for papers is put forth in the fall preceding the conference, and selected papers are presented and judged during the conference weekend; three of the papers are awarded cash prizes. The purpose of this site is to showcase papers from past conferences.
